As the 2nd generation in the business, I have led the Bourne Group for the last 30 plus years and am still involved on a day-to-day basis.

This period has seen a huge amount of change but the underlying principles of delivering the highest standard of customer service and a high level of integrity when dealing with customers and suppliers remains the key to the future of the business.

TRANSPORT DIRECTOR

As Transport Director and CPC holder for John Bourne & Co, I oversee delivery vehicles, drivers, and compliance, ensuring excellent customer service. With 20 years at the company, including 12 as a driver, I gained valuable operational and product knowledge.

I hold a CPC, serving as the named person on the operator’s license.

In my free time, I enjoy supporting my daughter’s horse events and find it a refreshing escape.

Joanna Mozley

JOANNA MOZLEY

GROUP FINANCE DIRECTOR

Having started my employment with The Bourne Group in May 2023, I oversee the Finance team for all four companies in the group, bringing 25 years of experience working in a Finance environment to the company.

I became a fully qualified AAT member in 2005, hold the AAT payroll qualification and spent several years working in the charity sector, when not working for private limited companies across a variety of industries.

When not at work I enjoy cycling and travelling internationally.

IT MANAGER

I implement and support all of the essential IT systems across the Bourne Group. I work closely with the John Bourne and Company Transportation Team to make sure the electronic haulage systems are always active, working and efficient.

In my spare time, I enjoy long walks on the beach with my three dogs.

LIZ KIMBER

TRANSPORT & COMPLIANCE MANAGER

With 15 years in commercial transport, I lead compliance at John Bourne & Co, ensuring drivers, workshops, and fleets meet CPC, health, and O License standards.

As a certified FORS practitioner and Level 3 Transport Manager (Road Haulage) from City and Guilds, I uphold top compliance standards.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, attending concerts, walking my dog, and watching Netflix.

CATHY HEDGES

HR, PAYROLL AND OFFICE MANAGER

I joined John Bourne & Co in May 1988 as a purchase ledger administrator and secretary.

My role evolved to managing payroll for four companies and supporting various departments. I currently oversee the purchase ledger and payroll while assisting with office matters and organising charity fundraisers.

Outside work, I enjoy working on the family farm, cooking, and gardening.

KIERA BROADBANK

FINANCE ASSISTANT

Having joined John Bourne & Co Ltd in April 2024 as a Trainee Finance Assistant, I have now progressed to an all-round Finance Assistant with a focus on Credit Control for both John Bourne and Company and Bourne Amenity. In addition to Credit Control, I raise all sales invoices for Bourne Amenity.

I am looking forward to starting the AAT Level 2 Qualification in the new year.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing Badminton, creating make-up looks, playing music and baking. I also have 2 German Shepherd Dogs called Jed and Bud.

BEV GODDEN

TRANSPORT PLANNER

With over 8 years of experience in the transport sector, including five years in transport planning, I am responsible for efficiently routing our lorries to ensure all deliveries are made on time.

Holding a Transport Manager CPC and a FORS Practitioner certificate, I bring a strong understanding of compliance, safety, and operational proficiency to the role. My focus on logistics and problem-solving helps keeps our transport operations running smoothly.

Outside of work, I enjoy the freedom of motorcycle riding and the creativity of baking.

ELLIE SMITH

FINANCE ASSISTANT

I have been at John Bourne and Co since April 2021 starting out as a Transport Administration Assistant.

Earlier this year I moved into the accounts department taking up my new role as Finance Assistant, specifically raising Sales Invoices for John Bourne and assisting with the John Bourne Purchase Ledger. I am looking forward to starting the Level 2 AAT qualification in the new year.

In my spare time, I like to go out for food, read and dance, such as Ballet and Jazz.
